Quality Control and R&D

The quality control unit is directed by a manager and is under the direct supervision of the managing director of the company. Its mission statements is based on the general policies of the company to improve the quality of products, reduces prices, increase the competition force of the company, and attract customer satisfaction. Preserving the environment and preventing its degradation as well as observing safety and health standards at workplace are also on the agenda of this department.

The quality control unit became active since the inauguration of Pars Oil Company and has expanded its activities to improve quality of products in parallel with equipment and human resources improvement. The unit presently has a set of laboratories in routine and specialized sections which are active to improve required standards such as ISO 9001-2000 in quality control management and ISO 14001 in environment management and OHSAS 18001 in safety and health at workplace. The quality control unit is constantly under the periodical supervision of foreign and domestic standard agencies and has been committed to them. All tests are undertaken in line with guidelines and global references such as DIN, IP, ASTM. Due to diversity and the number of raw materials, this laboratory includes middle process products, final and sideline products and an extensive marginal product. This has required the installment of modern facilities, laboratories, measurement equipment and skillful human resources. This unit is also active in preparing and supplying formulation, rendering laboratory services to other industries and cooperating with the department of standard for revising and setting standards for oil and other products.

Pars Oil laboratory as a certified lab by the Shell Group controls the specifications of its oil products in Iran.

This laboratory holds a certificate from Iran Standard and Industrial Researches Organization and is cooperating with it in areas of industrial, engine and gear oils as well as grease, anti-freeze, paraffin wax and brake liquid.

For the reason of its fame in producing grease in the country, Pars Oil Company’s quality control unit is equipped with modern facilities for testing all kind of grease that such facilities are unique among all producers of lubricants in Iran.

About researches, it should be mentioned that Pars Oli Company received the related permit of activity in R&D from the Ministry of Mines and Industries in 1991. This unit has concentrated its R&D measures on improving the process of production in the company in line with increasing competitive force with foreign and domestic products.

The control and research sections is equipped with creative personnel, modern equipment and rich information resources. It is remarkable to say that this company is a member of the Ministry of Mines and Industries’ R&D section.
